How to use SFTP using Filezilla on your Managed Wordpress Server

In this article, you are going to learn how to connect your server using popular SFTP client FileZilla.

FileZilla provides a user-friendly graphical interface that can securely transfer files from your local PC to your server and vice versa.

Let’s see how you can transfer files with FastWebHost servers.

What is SFTP?

As you are aware, FTP is very popular File Transfer Protocol used for transferring files between computers.

SFTP stands for SSH File Transfer Protocol or Secure File Transfer Protocol, works over a secured connection similar to SSH.

SFTP is more secure and tends to be more reliable than FTP, so it is the recommended option when you deal with FastWebHost servers.

Which SFTP Client?

FileZilla is a free, open source FTP/SFTP client for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. It supports both FTP and SFTP (Secure), and can be used with all FastWebHost services.

You need to download a copy of Filezilla from the below URL
