How to enable SMTP authentication in Mozilla Thunderbird?

Select Account Settings from the Tools menu. You will see the Account Settings box. On the left select the Outgoing Server(SMTP). You will see options appear on the right side, click on the Edit button. The SMTP settings panel will appear. Make sure that the Use name and password option is selected. If it's not checked, click and check it so a tick appears. Make sure that No option is selected in the Use secure connection section.
